Time For Packing

packing

The adventure is next to its begining, only 10 days to go!

It has been a week already in which my mind keeps recalling trip music. For example I found myself whistling Red Hot Chili Pepper melodies, which for some reasons remember me holidays.
With those rhythms in my head I feel like I’m in some calm and hidden island, somewhere far far away from anything.

Meanwhile time is ticking, this is my last weekend at home, the one in China, then only 1 working week left before going back home, the one in Italy.

It is going to be a long trip which door to door will take about 20 hours, but it was a compromise I had to take as this itinerary will allow me to leave Shanghai during late morning of Saturday.
This late start is important to me as it will give me last chance to spend some time with the part of the family which cannot join me for the adventure.

And in all of this, one of my worst enemy of the adventure is awaiting for me: the luggage!

In general, packing has never been my thing, but this time is going to be even worse.
I am going to spend 7 weeks in a place which I want to feel home, and thus I would like to create the perfect environment for me. But on top of the daily needs, during the staying I don’t only plan to sail, I want to visit cities, run, dive…

Bringing everything for each activity won’t be possible. The available space is limited due to the small size of the boat and I also have to consider that I will have to cross back half Italy starting from an unknown point, as I am not sure yet where I will be 7 weeks after departure.
The way back may likely end up to be a train move, and in any case having too much luggage for such a journey won’t be a wise choice.

So I have to live with the fact that it will not be possible to bring everything with me, and I have to select just what is most important…

If it was you,
What would you keep with you? What would you drop instead?

    Bella Matte
For sure leave at home company phone
To visit cities should be enough some t-shirt, walking shoes, bermuda and sunglasses.
    Also something to make photos.
Then I would bring the beach towel and sun protection.
Regarding the diving I really don’t know how it works and what is necessary to do it but I can image that you cannot do the trip with the oxygen tanks on the shoulder ihihih. Take the classic: pinne, fucile ed occhiali
In reality as of now I would bring the minimum needs, have a light trip in all term, with mind and body.
In conclusion, for 7 weeks I would bring:
    – 7 underwear
    – 7 socks (not 7 pairs)
    – sunglasses
    – Bermuda and t-shirts
    – beach towel and sun protection
    – flip-flops
    – pinne, fucile ed occhiali

    Keep us updated
    Ciao bello
    Un abbraccio
    Anto
